I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
